LIMS – Lab Management Software: The system users place order for Laboratory Tests in the system. When the system users place the laboratory order, it checks for special instructions whether there is any urgency to deliver the report. Sample is collected from the patient after order placement. The system users are able to modify the specimen of the sample before collection of the test. Once the collected is done, specimen cannot be modified or updated. Then Barcode Sticker is generated with Sample ID for collected sample ID and Lab task ID is generated as well. Then the sample is distributed according to the analysers. Whether its Bi-directional or unidirectional, system communicate with Lab Analysers. In case the sample is damaged, the system users reject the sample and request for recollect the sample from the patient.

The system ensures verification levels during result generation. When MLT prepares the result, it is sent to the scientific officers/ consultant. The scientific officers/ consultants check the result. If test is found accurate by the MLT, it is sent to the approver. But, if the scientific officers/ consultants find any inaccuracy in the result, the scientific officer/ consultant rejects the results and sent to the MLT again for corrections. Then the modified test results again sent to the scientific officers/ consultants for review. After reviewing by the scientific officers/consultants, the test result is sent to the approvers.

The approvers review the test results. If the result is accurate, he approves. But, if the approvers find any inaccuracy in the result, the approver rejects the results and sent to the MLT again for corrections.

Electronic signatory of the preparer, checker, reviewer and approver is fetched automatically from the system and displayed.

Approved test results can be printed from LAB, report delivery point and if patients’ email is configured with the system, the test results is emailed automatically to the patient.

Report dispatch and delivery information such as who have received the reports, when the report was delivered, report collectors name and cell phone number, delivery date-time of the reports are stored in the system.
